I want to create art that reflects love, equity, freedom, peace, and unity to the world and be a voice for the Black child. Through my work, I aim to inspire a world that embraces these ideals, fostering understanding and connection across diverse cultures and communities.
A piece from my headline series
hope or despair?
{african Child series}
Hope or Despair? is part of my debut art series, African Child, and represents the third piece in this powerful collection. This series draws from my own experiences growing up in Nigeria, a nation that, despite its vast potential, has faced challenges such as limited access to basic social amenities and economic instability, compounded by years of poor governance. For many children in this part of the world, life is a constant fight for survival. Amidst the daily struggles for food, shelter, and stability, there are moments of pain, tears, laughter, and hope, all woven together in the complexity of existence. In this piece, I ask the question: Is there hope for the future of the average child in this environment? What does tomorrow hold?
